This week’s accomplishment: Smith went 6-0 throughout the week as the Scorpions won both matches. She went 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 against Barstow and 7-5, 6-0, 6-1 against AAE.
How long have you been playing your sport and how did you get started: I have been playing tennis my whole life. My dad used to play and now he has been coaching me. I have only played on a team for four years now.
Pregame ritual: Before we play we pray that we’ll play well and that we are safe. Then we do a chant to get everyone pumped up.
Most memorable sports moment: The first time I swept. I was so happy when I won all my games. I felt very much accomplished.
If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be and why: I would be Anthony Bourdain because he travels the world and eats food for a living.
Something most people don’t know about you: I am a very happy and loud person. When you first meet me I very quiet and timid.
How would you spend $1 million: I would save most of it but spend some of it on concerts and clothing.
Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world: I would travel to Greece. It looks beautiful, and I have family there that I would like to meet.
If you had an extra hour every day, how would you spend it: I would spend it with friends, going to the movies or amusement parks because I am always having a good time with them.
What superpower do you wish you had: Control fire. It is helpful and it could be used as protection.
