The Beaumont Library was built in 1914 as part of a $10,000 grant from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.

The library currently services over 75 thousand people in the Beaumont area and but for one addition in the 1960’s the library has been in need of more space for years as the population in the district has quadrupled over the last couple of decades.

Luren Dickinson, Director of the Beaumont Library District explains the rich history behind the library being the last remaining Carnegie library in Riverside County.
