Police have arrested a Norwalk man on accusations that he robbed and violently killed a woman at her Victorville store during a swap meet, Sunday evening.

CBS Los Angeles reports according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened around 5:42 p.m., Sunday at the Victorville Galleria at 14560 Palmdale Road. The 62-year-old woman, Chong Suk Hong of Victorville was attacked while she was working at Xtreme Meanswear, a store she co-owns.

Hong sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital by paramedics. It was just after 6:30 p.m. when she was pronounced dead.

Mall security detained the suspect, 29-year-old Tom Raymond.

The San Bernardino County sheriff’s department says that investigators believe the suspect entered and robbed the store, before stabbing the victim multiple tines. Authorities say there don’t have any evidence that proves Raymond knew Hong or had even been in the store before the attack.

Early Monday morning Raymond was booked on murder charges into the High Desert Detention Center.
