Earlier this week, it was reported that Clayton Kershaw would be sidelined with a lower back injury that would lead to him missing 4-6 weeks.

So with one Kershaw down, the others stepped up.

The Kershaw babies, Cali (2) and Charley (7 months), took the mound Wednesday night (July 26) to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and it was adorable.

Charley was more of a spectator on the bump as he watched his sister fire a few strikes to dad.

The Dodgers defeated the Minnesota Twins in 10 innings, 5-4 and now hold a commanding 12.5 game lead in the NL West over second place Arizona.

Dad Kershaw should be back before the Dodgers regular season is over, but we’ll gladly watch this little one do the pitching in the mean time.
