Good news for cash-poor Uber riders, soon the service will be offering the option of tipping your driver after your ride at your convenience.
According to an email sent to users, it’s currently available in Seattle, Minneapolis, and Houston, and will be available in every U.S. city by the end of July.
You’ll need the latest version of the app in order to tip your driver in this way, and you’ll need to rate your ride. You can also add tips from your trip history and trip receipt up to 30 days after your trip is completed.
If you use UberEATS, you can also use the app to rate your delivery, but you’ll only have 7 days after its completion to add a tip.
There are no additional service fees added to the tipping feature.
