According to Riverside County sheriff’s officials, a dead body found over the weekend in a rural area east of Perris is being investigated by homicide detectives.
The Press Enterprise reports a sheriff’s news release stated that around 11 a.m. Saturday morning, May 27th, deputies were dispatched to where a body had found in an open field. An area of open field that is about a quarter-mile east of McPherson Road and Keystone Drive, in the Good Hope area.
The release said that the sheriff’s Homicide Unit was called to take over after deputies confirmed the found remains were infact human.
According to officials, the identity of the person will not be released until their family has been notified.
Additional details about the investigation haven’t been released.
