Paula Abdul appeared on NBC’s “The Today Show” yesterday (May 15th), and revealed that while she’s looking forward to seeing “American Idol” come to a new network, she stopped short of saying she’d want to be part of it.
“I’m excited for the reboot,” said the former AI judge. “I think that ABC is a wonderful network for it as well. I mean, if there was another network, it’s perfect for ABC.”
But when Hoda asked if she’d want to go back, she was less than enthusiastic. “I had an incredible time on that show and am blessed to have been part of it from the beginning, but I think they need to do a whole reboot,” she admitted.
Paula also discussed her new “Total Package” tour with New Kids on the Block and Boys II Men, her dog Bessie Moo, and played “Drop the Mic,” where she shared the worst professional advice anyone ever gave her, and which song from another artist she wished was hers.
