On Tuesday police in North Hollywood searched for a man who was caught on video trying to kidnap a teenage girl as she walked to school.

Around 10 a.m. Monday morning, surveillance video captured the incident. CBS Los Angeles’ Jasmine Viel included the video on her Twitter account, you can watch it below.

In the video you can see the man walk up behind the student and grab her, then you see the teenage girl twisting free and breaking away. The video also shows the insistent suspect trying to grab her a second time.

The girl luckily and eventually runs away from the suspect, who is seen in the video walking away from the scene.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the police say the victim didn’t know her attacker and that extra patrols are expected to be out as students walk to school.
